Abstract

Leadership and coordination are key skills for pre-registration nurses, particularly in their transition from student to qualified nurse. A session was designed to develop their confidence and understanding of leadership roles. Using a problembased learning approach, leadership team roulette facilitates team communication and shared decision making, and explores managerial skills such as delegation, prioritisation, assertiveness and time management.
