Many healthcare providers have faced difficulties when implementing Essence of Care. In South West Yorkshire Mental Health NHS Trust, a creative and flexible approach to generating and sharing good practice has been established. This has led to some teams adopting a culture of continuous improvement through benchmarking activity in the areas of communication, nutrition, and privacy and dignity.
