John C. Norcross is professor of psychology at the University of Scranton and a clinical psychologist in part-time practice. He has cowritten or edited 12 books, including the Authoritative Guide to Self-Help Resources in Mental Health, Changing for Good, Systems of Psychotherapy: A Transtheoretical Analysis, and the forthcoming Leaving it at the Office: Psychotherapist Self-Care. He is the president of the APA Division of Psychotherapy, editor of In Session: Journal of Clinical Psychology, and a member of the National Academies of Practice. He lives in the northern Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania with his wife, two children, and their two deranged cats.
