Psychogeriatrics 5(1):p A1, March 2005.

The 19th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Psychogeriatric Society was held in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture. The program included two symposiums and two luncheon seminars, and 116 presentations. Psychiatric symptoms and MCI (mild cognitive impairment) are prevalent and these were important topics in the meeting. Symposium I, entitled ‘Delusion in the elderly’, and Symposium II, entitled ‘On MCI’, were very productive and generated a lot of discussion.

The next meeting will be held on 15–17 June 2005 in Tokyo Forum and will be presided by Professor Heii Arai, Juntendo Medical College.
