There has been a rapid increase in the number of migrants and refugees worldwide in recent years (). In parallel, the United States as well as other developed nations have also witnessed an alarming rise of nationalism and hostility against immigrants and refugees. These world and societal contexts speak to the urgent need for psychological research on issues facing refugees and immigrants. This timely Special Issue aims to advance the translation of psychological research into practice and policy by featuring works that focus on psychological processes related to migration, displacement, resettlement, and adaptation.
