The Journal of Intellectual Disability Research is an international journal devoted exclusively to the scientific study of intellectual disability and publishes papers reporting original observations in this field.
The subject matter includes clinical case reports; pathological reports; biochemical investigation; genetics and cytogenetics; as well as psychological, educational and sociological studies. The results of animal experiments or studies in any discipline that may increase knowledge of the causes, prevention or treatment of intellectual disability are also discussed. Reviews are submitted from experts from time to time on themes in which recent research has produced notable advances. All papers are assessed by expert referees.
