Medical Innovation & Business (MIB) is dedicated to providing guidance and advice on the entrepreneurial business of drug and medical device development.
Medical Innovation & Business (MIB) is the first peer-reviewed professional journal concentrating on biomedical science entrepreneurship at a time when there is explosive growth of new biomedical technologies and when universities and scientists are struggling with how to bring new discoveries to market and reap the economic rewards for doing so. Economic, political, and cultural problems often arise as this is done and a working knowledge of these issues is key for anyone trying to succeed in this arena.
MIB aims to accelerate the ""bench to bedside"" process, and promote asset formation and economic development in the bioscience arena by providing expert information on critical topics. Journal content will include case studies and articles by content experts along with perspectives of inventors, investors and leaders in biomedical science on the commercialization process from ""inspiration to incorporation."" Areas of special focus will include drugs, medical devices, and medical information technology. The intended audience for MIB includes university-based researchers, pharmaceutical industry professionals, biotechnology industry professionals, medical device manufacturers, technology transfer officers, patent attorneys and venture capital professionals. It is MIB's hope that by sharing experiences and perspectives from different vantage points, all will glean new insights into this complex and rapidly evolving business sector
