Melissa Fryer, MA, CCC-SLP, is a clinical supervisor at the Pacific Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinic and a faculty member in the Pacific University School of Communication Sciences and Disorders in Forest Grove, Oregon. She serves as a coordinator for the Pacific University interprofessional competence course and comes from a background in post-acute rehabilitation, serving on interprofessional teams facilitating client-centered care.
Traci E. Eveson is a graduate student clinician and graduate assistant in the Pacific University School of Communication Sciences and Disorders in Forest Grove, Oregon. She earned a bachelor of science degree in university studies and a minor in sociology from Brigham Young University. She owned a wellness center for many years, where she collaborated with other health-care professionals. She plans to work in early intervention after graduation.

The disciplines of audiology and speechlanguage pathology are naturally aligned. We work in similar settings and with similar populations, often with the goal of similar functional outcomes. The importance of audiologists and speech-language pathologists' interprofessional practice is therefore an essential element of person-centered care.
