POSITIVE PREDICTIVE VALUES OF ≥5% IN PRIMARY CARE FOR CANCER: SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

I don’t really think there is adequate appreciation of the difficulties of being a GP. It is easy to be a bad one, it is extremely hard to be an excellent GP. Various methods of improving quality are fairly crude and sometimes counter-productive.

There is much to be said for the old-fashioned apprenticeship model – modern-day educationalists may denigrate this view. Many people of my experience and role feel that it is underplayed.
