Jackie Limberg is an Associate Professor of Nutrition & Exercise Physiology at the University of Missouri. Jackie and her team are interested in mechanisms that contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease and interventions that can reverse and/or prevent cardiovascular disease risk. The present investigation highlights almost 4 years of collaborative work that seeks to enhance understanding of neural control of cardiorespiratory function and the role the carotid chemoreceptors play in human type 2 diabetes.
