About the Author

Patricia Nash graduated with a BS in nursing from St. Louis University. She received her neonatal nurse practitioner certificate in 1989 from St. John's Mercy Medical Center and her master's degree in nursing in 1995 from the University of Missouri at St. Louis. She has worked in the neonatal intensive care unit for 27 years in various roles, including staff RN, transport RN, nurse educator, and NNP manager. Patricia is currently working as a staff NNP in the neonatal intensive care unit at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
