Christopher M Halloranis a Specialist Registrar/Research Fellow at the Department of Surgery, Royal Liverpool University Hospital, UK. He qualified from Liverpool University. His main research interest is the use of gene therapy as an adjunct in pancreatic cancer treatment.

John P Slavinis a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery, University of Liverpool, UK, and Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. He qualified from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School and trained in general and hepatobiliary surgery in Liverpool. His research interests include wound repair, sepsis and acute pancreatitis, particularly the role that cytokines play in these conditions.
